DAY 02
Amboseli National Park Kibo Safari Camp

After Breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for your Schedule flight to Amboseli National Park. The majestic snow-capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,352 feet) dominates the area and makes a great photographic background!

DAY 03
Amboseli National Park | Kibo Safari Camp

You're up just before dawn with a fresh cup of tea or coffee, and then off on an early morning game drive, the best time to see the majestic peak of Kilimanjaro. You'll then return back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast before additional game drives throughout the day.

DAY 04
Arusha/ Lake Manyara National Park | Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

Up early this morning for a delicious breakfast. Leave Amboseli and head to the Tanzania border, where you will meet our Tanzania specialist guide. Stop in Arusha town for lunch. There is time to experience a bit of the local villages with a visit to a cheese cooperative formed and run by local women. It provides a way for the women to achieve some financial independence, and helps to provide new schools. Continue on towards the Great Rift Valley escarpment, where refreshments and smiling faces greet you. Sit by the open lounge area, relaxing before dinner - or perhaps you would like to take an easy nature walk to hear about the unique flora and fauna of the area. The lodge sits beneath the escarpment, which looms 1, 950 feet high and is in a key location to begin your Tanzania safari.

DAY 05
Lake Manyara National Park | Exploreans Ngorongoro Lodge

Breakfast on the open terrace before a short 35 minute drive takes you to Manyara. Ernest Hemingway called this “the loveliest place I have seen in Africa”. The lake attracts considerable birdlife, and its surrounding terrain contains such a rich mosaic of different habitats that it supports a large number of animals. There is always good resident game such as elephants, hippos, baboons and giraffe. During the time between January and April, part of the Migration will extend into this general area, with calving of zebra and wildebeest common. Head up the Great Rift Valley Wall passing one of the largest baobab trees in Tanzania. The scenery is magnificent and ever changing. Stops can be made along the way at little 'handicraft' kiosks to try your hand at bargaining and pick up a local treasure. Arrive in the late afternoon in the town of Karatu.

DAY 06
Ngorongoro Creater | Exploreans Ngorongoro Lodge

Today holds more excitement, after passing through the park gate with your guide; descend down onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor. The area was originally part of the Serengeti National Park, but was split off and declared a Conservation Area in 1959. Ngorongoro is one of the most spectacular game haunts in Africa and has been designated a World Heritage site. Nearly 10 X 12 square miles in size, it contains an impressive variety of wildlife including lions with black manes, the highly endangered black rhino, herds of wildebeest, zebra, elephants, hippo, and hyena. The bird life is also prolific, with flocks of flamingos on the soda lake, plus other species of water and plains birds. Return to the rim of Ngorongoro where there is time to sit and enjoy the sunset from the lounge area.

DAY 7 - 9
Serengeti National Park | Lemala Kuria Hills

Lodge locations and drive time will change according to seasonal movement of the game. This is to give you the shortest drive time to access the large herds of wildebeest and zebra and hopefully catch the actual migration. With UNLIMITED GAME VIEWING your safari time will be maximized.

This is the Africa you’ve been imagining. The 10,000 square mile Serengeti is the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. The name comes from the local Masai tribe’s word “siringiti”, for “endless plains” – although the types of terrain are as varied as the animals that live here. Massive islands of granite, grassy plains, an acacia savannah, woodlands, and a range of mountains support the thousands of species you may encounter. Take morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti. The lodge offers a spectacular view of the Serengeti Plains and the Mbalageti River, which attracts the migration of wildebeest and zebra.

DAY 10 - 11
Maasai Mara Game Reserve | Kichwa Tembo Tented Lodge

This morning, bid farewell to your Tanzania guide and board a connecting flight direct to Kenya and the Maasai Mara, the northern extension of the Serengeti Plains. Maasai Mara is one of the greatest wildlife habitats in the world. In one sweep of binoculars you can see a hundred elephants, lion, impala, zebra, and wildebeest. The plains are gold and the silhouettes of elephant, giraffe, and lion can be seen. Become a part of the life in the Mara - birth, feeding, death and life, an incredible experience that you will never forget. Accommodations in the Mara have been selected for their proximity to the river where the wildebeest and zebra generally cross from the Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives in open sided camp vehicles.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 12
You Journey Onwards

Bid sad farewell to the inspiring African bush and board a short flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will then connect to your international departure.

Meals: Breakfast
DAY 03
Amboseli National Park | Kibo Safari Camp

You're up just before dawn with a fresh cup of tea or coffee, and then off on an early morning game drive, the best time to see the majestic peak of Kilimanjaro. You'll then return back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast before additional game drives throughout the day.
