Arrive Nairobi, Kenya | Fairmont the Norfolk

Upon arrival into Nairobi, you are met by our representative and transferred to your luxurious accommodations in one of Kenya’s most famous hotels. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

DAY 02
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy |Lewa Safari Camp

Fly to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, home of big cats, elephants and endangered black rhinos. Your tented camp is tucked into the Northern Frontier District, in a private wildlife conservancy and rhino sanctuary. Take to the bush this afternoon, watching closely for indigenous northern species, such as the beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and the unusual long-necked gerenuk, which stands on its hind legs to feed. Look, too, for Grant’s gazelles, dik-diks, elands and impala as they, along with majestic leopards and lions, roam the vast landscape. After dinner, sleep securely in elegantly appointed tents, enveloped by the sounds of the African night.

DAY 03
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy | Lewa Safari Camp

Today, spend the morning and afternoon viewing game in this pristine conservancy. Whether you opt to set out in safari vehicles or on foot, keep your eyes trained for lions, black and white rhinos, elephants, oryx, and aquatic sitatungas — swamp-dwelling antelopes. Relax on your private veranda, and indulge in gourmet meals and remote sundowners, prepared by your attentive staff.

DAY 04
Masai Mara Game Reserve | Relax in Tented Luxury Sanctuary Olonana

Fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, site of your tranquil, permanently tented luxury camp. It features 14 elegant tents with verandas offering uninterrupted views of a hippo-populated,private stretch of the Mara River. Take a late-afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner.

DAY 05
Masai Mara Game Reserve | Big Game Country Sanctuary Olonana

Explore the open savanna, woodlands and tree-fringed rivers of the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Patient tracking may reveal leopards retrieving kills from acacia branches, or elephants protecting their young from opportunistic lions. With 583 square miles supporting huge numbers of bird and mammal species, game viewing is never dull in the Mara.

DAY 06
Masai Mara Game Reserve | A Parting GlimpseSanctuary Olonana

Delve deeper in to the Mara with a final day of game drives. Today affords a final chance to sight the crafty species that may have eluded you on this epic journey. Later, pay a private visit to a Maasai village to learn about local customs and daily life.

DAY 07
Depart Masai Mara Game Reserve/Nairobi | Fairmont The Norfolk

Fly back to Nairobi and spend the afternoon at leisure in your reserved dayroom. Later, transfer to the airport for your international departure.
